Ushket 5 km is a mobile and web application designed to encourage daily healthy habits, developed in partnership with First Nations communities. The data controller is Ushket 5 km, reachable at: support@ushket5km.com.

We collect the following information when you use the app: • Account information: first name, last name, email address, password (encrypted), preferred language, timezone. • Activity data: completed shuks, programs followed, streaks, activity history, uploaded activity photos. • Social data: friend list, nudges sent and received, community memberships. • Payment data: if you subscribe to Premium, payment is processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card details. • Technical data: device identifiers, error logs, session information.

Your data is used to: • Provide app features (activity tracking, programs, friends). • Send you email notifications (daily digest, reminders, re-engagement emails) according to your preferences. • Improve the user experience and analyze overall app usage (aggregated and anonymized data). • Process your Premium subscription. • Comply with our legal obligations.

We never sell your personal data. We use the following sub-processors: • Stripe — payment processing (privacy policy: stripe.com/privacy) • SendGrid (Twilio) — transactional email delivery • Neon — database hosting (servers located in the United States) • Replit — application hosting These providers are contractually bound to protect your data and not use it for other purposes.

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal data will be erased within 30 days, except for data required by law or needed to resolve disputes.

Your data is transmitted via HTTPS and stored on secure servers. Passwords are encrypted with bcrypt. We apply technical and organizational measures to protect your information against unauthorized access.

The app is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.

We may update this policy from time to time. In the event of a significant change, we will notify you by email or via an in-app notification.
